We are looking for a Counsel, Privacy and Compliance to join our Legal department at BOLD. This person will be primarily supporting the Team on the management of all local Poland office legal affairs, review and creation of internal policies to align with optimal security and privacy measures, and general assistance to the Privacy and Compliance team members which may vary depending on the business needs.
Job Description
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Mainly:
- Provide daily assistance with internal/risk/compliance controls and regulatory compliance matters.
- Regularly test and audit compliance controls for all product lines, report findings and lead the creation of mitigation plans
- Prepare legal memorandums, and draft policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned by the team management.
You may also be asked from time to time to:
- Provide legal assistance on employment and HR-related matters for the Polish office.
- Conduct legal research and perform legal work regarding local and international laws and regulations on a variety of topics, which include, among others, compliance with legal requirements applicable to technology businesses, consumer protection requirements, and obligations with respect to personal information.
- Support the team on contract drafting, review and negotiation, including managing relationships with internal teams and review/redline vendor agreements, draft NDAs, confidentiality agreements, non-compete, and other types of consulting and contractor agreements in areas of product, marketing, technology, hosting, SaaS, licensing, payments, customer service, and operations, among other areas.
- Provide legal advice to the Company’s product and development teams, including, marketing, UX, SEO, content, infrastructure and technology teams, among others.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Strong academic background and master's degree in law.
- Admission to the practice of law in Poland is required (radca prawny).
- 3 to 5 years of law firm practice or equivalent in-house experience is a must.
- Strong legal research skills.
- At least C1 in English and fluent Polish.
- High attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to multitask.
- Critical thinking and innovation-mindset.
- Professionalism, positive attitude and dedication to ethical conduct.
- Familiarity with the handling of sensitive data and confidential information. Desire and enthusiasm to work collaboratively as part of a team.
WHAT’S GOOD TO HAVE
- LLM in Business.
- Knowledge and understanding of tech/SaaS industry terminology.
- ISO/IEC 27001 knowledge
- Understanding of technology industry concepts, technology law.
- Experience with advertising and global consumer laws and regulations.
- Privacy and product compliance experience including familiarity with global privacy laws.
- Audit experience (controls, internal/external audits.)
- Data security/InfoSec experience.
About This Team
BOLD’s Legal Team manages the Company’s in-house legal matters. This includes negotiations and review of commercial agreements, privacy, balancing risks, compliance matters, support of business teams in their legal needs, and all enforcement-related matters. The Privacy and Compliance Team within the Legal team advises the Company on all privacy, data security and products’ compliance matters and monitors implementation of the Company’s commercial activities, including in areas of marketing, product, technology, customer service, and corporate operations.

Pay Range
10 000 - 12 100 PLN gross, Employment Agreement (Umowa o Pracę)

This position is 100% remote, work from home. You must live in Poland or be willing to relocate to Poland to be considered for this role.
