Job Description
About this team
As we scale this innovative new platform, we’re looking for a Director, Product Management to lead day-to-day product strategy and execution. You’ll report directly to the VP, Product Retention, the original architect of BOLD.pro, and serve as a key partner in turning vision into scalable impact. This is a rare opportunity to shape a high-potential product at an early growth stage, with the backing of an established company and the energy of a startup.
What you'll do
Own and Scale Product Strategy
- Help lead the product roadmap for BOLD.pro — balancing short-term priorities with long-term vision, growth, and differentiation.
- Define product bets that accelerate user growth, engagement, and monetization, with a deep understanding of market dynamics and user needs.
- Collaborate closely with the VP to refine product vision, translate ideas into actionable workstreams, and evolve strategy based on feedback and performance.
Drive End-to-End Execution
- Lead cross-functional product squads through discovery, delivery, and iteration — partnering with Engineering, UX, and Data.
- Define success metrics and ensure high-quality execution across all touchpoints.
- Build a strong culture of experimentation and learning — running rapid tests to validate assumptions, uncover insights, and iterate quickly.
Champion the User and Market
- Engage deeply with users to understand their pain points, motivations, and aspirations — turning insights into clear product opportunities.
- Monitor competitive trends and emerging technologies to ensure BOLD.pro is positioned to lead and differentiate in the professional networking space.
- Leverage data to tell compelling stories, make informed decisions, and track the impact of every product launch.
Build and Develop the Team
- Mentor and develop product managers to build a high-performing, user-obsessed product organization.
- Help shape product practices, rituals, and frameworks that support speed, clarity, and collaboration across teams.
What you'll need
- 8–10+ years of experience in product management, with at least 2–3 years in a platform or marketplace business.
- Deep understanding of the employment space from a consumer and enterprise perspective.
- Proven success leading zero-to-one or early-stage product development — ideally within startup or innovation-focused teams.
- Strong cross-functional leadership skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across Engineering, UX, Data, and Marketing.
- A user-first mindset grounded in empathy, curiosity, and structured discovery practices.
- Experience building products that support profile creation, professional networking, or creator tools is a strong plus.
- Excellent communication skills — able to articulate vision, explain decisions, and inspire confidence across audiences.
- Data-informed but not data-paralyzed — you balance instinct with insight to drive decisions and prioritize effectively.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
What's good to have
- Experience working directly with a founder or VP on an early-stage product.
- Background in consumer social, professional networking, creator platforms, or reputation-based ecosystems.
- Familiarity with generative AI tools or personalization engines that enhance user experience.
- Experience scaling a product in a startup or high-growth environment within a larger organization.
- Prior experience managing other product managers or leading cross-functional squads.
