Lead, Technical SEO
We are looking for Lead, Technical SEO to lead our Technical SEO unit. In this role, you will lead an in-house team of 4 Technical SEO Specialists, and have a direct impact on the growth of our organic audience on 20+ SEO portals. Our current portfolio spans several websites in English, as well as multiple international SEO properties in non-English languages. Additionally, this role will work closely with our Poland-based Development team, as well as Engineering, Marketing, and Business teams from the US, Puerto Rico, and India.

ABOUT THIS TEAM
We are part of the Content & SEO team in which together with all SEO PMs, SEO ops and content creators we do our best to attract job seekers with the valuable articles that rank high in search engine results page. As the Technical SEO team, we constantly look for possible improvements of our websites, follow new trends/updates, recommend changes and provide our colleagues with guidance, expertise and support so that we can reach out to more people in order to help them find the job of their dreams.
How do we work?
- Execute and develop the global SEO strategy of our portals and products.
- Collaborate on quarterly plans and long-term SEO strategy with the Director, Content & SEO, as well as other Marketing and Business leaders.
- Work closely with partner teams such as Product, Design/UX, Content, Engineering, Digital PR, Customer Support, to plan, organize and manage cross-team collaboration & shared projects aimed at maximizing business growth.
- Create and optimize SEO, UX, content of our portals and products.
- Monitor SEO performance and constantly look for opportunities to scale organic traffic and sales.
- Own our SEO traffic and revenue goals.
- Each quarter, set team and individual OKRTs, to grow our SEO performance and track progress against monthly goals and the yearly budget.
- Every 6 months, during the performance review, discuss the two previous quarters and evaluate not only our work but also the work of our leaders.
Technologies/tools we use:
- Cloud SEO apps such as Ahrefs, SEMrush and/or others
- Desktop SEO apps such as ScreamingFrog
- Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4, Looker Studio (Previously Google Data Studio)
- Google Sheets (including advanced operations, macros, Apps Script)
- Schema markups
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JS (React-Astro)
- Knowledge of AI powered tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini or Microsoft Copilot
- JIRA
- Google Workspace, Meets, Zoom, Slack

WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Lead a team of 4 in-house Technical SEO Specialists, leading them as their people manager as well as their subject-matter experts helping them grow, achieve goals, and plan & prioritize work.
- Collaborate on quarterly plans and long-term SEO strategy with the Director, Content & SEO, as well as other Marketing and Business leaders.
- Perform technical SEO audits of our websites following the best practices related with website performance, Core Web Vitals, crawlability, rendering, indexability, code optimization, handling errors and redirects.
- Manage or oversee site migrations.
- Analyze areas of improvement, recommend changes and verify their implementation.
- Regularly monitor our websites’ traffic metrics and identify optimization opportunities.
- Execute and co-create a technical SEO strategy to grow sustainable organic traffic to our 20+ SEO portals.
- Assist and ultimately own collaboration and communication with the Dev team, Infra team, and other technical and business partners across Poland and other geos (US, Puerto Rico, India).
- Work closely with SEOs, content team members, and other stakeholders, provide them with the Tech SEO support and guidance.
- Stay up to date with the latest SEO news, trends, especially from the area of Technical SEO.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- At least 2 years of experience leading a team, preferably a Technical SEO team.
- At least 5 years of experience in on-site and technical SEO, preferably for international SaaS sites or marketplaces.
- Extensive, solid SEO knowledge that you’ll know how to apply to real-life situations.
- Familiar with the popular Tech SEO tools like Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, GSC, GA4, Chrome Dev Tools, WebPageTest, and other similar tools.
- Experience with Core Web Vitals, performance optimization, troubleshooting and solving SEO issues.
- Automation skills
- Coding experience
- Experience with site migrations
- Experience in working in an international environment, operating effectively within different cultures and backgrounds.
- Very good knowledge of spoken and written English (at least C1 level).
- Can reverse-engineer existent solutions and are capable of coming up with your own.

WHAT’S GOOD TO HAVE
- Agency background
- Python, SQL or BigQuery knowledge to analyze bigger data sets
- Basic knowledge of Google Cloud Platform
- Self-motivated with strong leadership skills, equally comfortable collaborating in a team environment.
- Coding background (ex-developers are welcome)

SALARY & ELIGIBILITY
COMPENSATION
- Salary range for this position:
- Employment Agreement: 14000-16000 PLN gross (Umowa o Pracę)
LOCATION
This position is 100% remote, work from home. You must live in Poland or be willing to relocate to Poland to be considered for this role.
