Doug co-founded the company to help give people the career and educational tools they need to change their lives for the better. A former Vice President of Corporate Strategy at Monster Worldwide and a leading entrepreneur in the fields of online marketing, career management, and product development, Doug holds a PhD in Educational Psychology from Stanford University. When he’s not busy building BOLD into the world’s premier destination for transforming work lives, you might find Doug building treehouses or making hard cider.
Jamie Freundlich
Co-Chief Executive Officer
Jamie co-founded the company in 2004 with a vision to help people discover their career passions, find jobs, and improve their lives. Jamie has over 20 years of experience in marketing and managing innovative online businesses and products. He is a former Vice President at Monster Worldwide and CEO of SIMPATIX, a recruitment management software company sold to Monster in 2000. He holds an MBA in Marketing and Finance from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. When he’s not helping jobseekers to achieve their career goals or aiding companies in finding quality employees, Jamie enjoys scuba diving, squash, yoga, and spending time with his wife and two boys.
Eryck Dzotsi
SVP, Marketing
Eryck is a veteran of the performance media and digital marketing space. He leads SEO, SEM, Customer Care, Content, Outreach and Research for BOLD. Eryck has overseen many key initiatives for globally recognized consumer brands, including Viacom’s launch of BET+, the site merger of Office Depot and OfficeMax, and Comcast’s brand migration to Xfinity. Previously serving in a dual role as VP, Performance Media, and VP, Head of SEO, for Merkle, Eryck has a proven track record of delivering top- and bottom-line results for his clients and building strong partnerships. Over his 11-year tenure at Merkle, his portfolio included several major companies such as Universal Parks, Ashley Furniture, Adobe, Google, Facebook, Sallie Mae, Gerber Life, Kimpton Hotels, IHG, MassMutual and Nestle.
Katherine Derrick
SVP, Product
Katherine is an experienced trailblazer with 20+ years of demonstrated accomplishments in strategic product and digital development, design innovation, user research and customer experience for globally recognized consumer brands and premier B2C organizations. She leads our domestic and international Product, Brands and Design teams, building new ways to serve, educate and empower all participants in the workforce. She has been an innovative leader in product strategy and development, and implementation of user experience, customer experience and brand creative activities.
Prior to joining BOLD, Katherine held senior leadership positions at Bluegreen Vacations, AutoNation and CBS Interactive, where she and her team won the EMMY® Award for Outstanding New Approaches.
Katherine graduated from the University of Florida with a BS in Telecommunications. When not building the best customer-facing products possible, she enjoys boating, art and music, and loves to travel and experience new countries as much as possible.
Himanshu Gupta
SVP, Engineering & Head of Development
Himanshu, a seasoned technology executive with over 20 years of experience in enterprise software development, heads BOLD's development center. He has been instrumental in developing the core technology platform for BOLD's suite of products and building a world class technology team. Prior to joining BOLD, Himanshu held executive leadership positions with Letsbuy, Nextag, ADP and Infosys. He holds a Bachelor of Technology from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. When he is not busy solving a technology problem, Himanshu can be found fooling around with his two kids, playing tennis, reading a book or catching a movie.

Ishmael Chawla
Technical Founder & Board Member
An internet technology professional with nearly 20 years of experience, Ishmael serves in a strategic technology advisory role. Prior to this, Ishmael established our India development center and set up our technical architecture. Before BOLD, Ishmael directed technology for one of the first web-based applicant management and resume tracking systems for Simpatix, which later became part of Monster.com. He also worked as a financial services technology consultant in New York for Accenture. Ishmael is a graduate of Amherst College, where he studied Computer Science and Russian Literature.
